About the Role:
As a Lead Carpenter, you will oversee day-to-day site operations while performing hands-on carpentry work. You will lead a crew, coordinate with subcontractors and project managers, and ensure projects are completed safely, efficiently, and to the highest quality standards.
Responsibilities:
- Lead and supervise carpenters and apprentices on site.
- Perform framing, finishing, renovations, and general carpentry work.
- Read and interpret construction drawings and specifications.
- Plan daily tasks and coordinate work with the Project Manager.
- Ensure work is completed on schedule and meets company quality standards.
- Train and mentor junior carpenters and apprentices.
- Coordinate with subcontractors and other trades.
- Inspect work for quality and address deficiencies.
- Maintain a safe, clean, and organized job site.
- Assist with material planning and communicate job site requirements.
Qualifications:
- Minimum 7 years of carpentry experience.
- Previous experience leading a crew or working as a Lead Carpenter or Foreman.
- Strong knowledge of residential construction and commercial tenant improvements.
- Proficient in both framing and finishing carpentry.
- Ability to read blueprints and solve problems independently.
- Strong leadership, communication, and organizational skills.
- Valid driver’s license and reliable transportation.
- Must have a cell phone for communication.
- Own a complete set of carpentry tools.
